ACID TONGUE Synopsis

ACID TONGUE is a dark urban drama about a foul-mouthed, strip club bartender, who’s struggling to cope with intense feelings of rage and disillusionment. Bobby is a vile, vitriolic man with apparent disdain for everyone around him. Fueled by alcohol and a quick wit, Bobby assaults an overly talkative cab driver and steals his cab. As he joyrides through the city streets, he finds a gun in the glove compartment. With this unexpected discovery in hand, Bobby ventures into the urban underbelly with a new sense of empowerment. On the run from the vengeful cab driver and his mates, Bobby must watch his back or else he could end up a dead man. Bobby must also confront his ongoing problems, which include keeping his stripper girlfriend happy, his angry boss off his back and his younger sister in college. But when Bobby falls for a hip bodega clerk with a secret, his sanity is pushed to the brink. Will he lose all control, or will he find salvation? Bobby is a modern anti-hero, created from these contradictory times. In Bobby’s world, no one is safe.
